Marathon Saturday

This weekend was AWESOME! Friday, Tristan had a long day at school and took a finance test. I went to school, took a nap, and worked. That night Jacob and Brittney came over and we watched a movie and made brownies.
Saturday was ultra awesome. Nine AM, bright and early, we had a soccer game...and we WON! Score was 8-1. Go Real BYU. Just to add to the awesomeness Tris and I both scored goals. This is everyone on the team. L-R: Chris, AJ, Brad (Spain mission buddies), Tris, Jared, Jeremy, Joseph, Becca, Me, Katie(mission), Laura. We all all either related or from the mission. So i guess you can say Real BYU is family.
(Thanks for all the pictures Becca, i helped myself :))

Serious... turned out awkward.

Real BYU girls. Our goals are worth 2 points so we're that much better.

After our game we celebrated by going to Magleby's Fresh for breakfast. They have delicious all you can eat pancakes and french toast. Tris opted for the french toast and i got the breakfast burrito. Yummy.

I was so full, people probably thought i was pregnant. That afternoon we worked. After work we decided we didn't get our fill of the Jackson's so we hung out again. :) We went to dinner at Brick Oven Pizza. Had a good dinner despite the waitress spilling water on Becca and I. We got a free dessert out of it so it was worth it. After dinner we went to the BYU Rugby game and we won 111-3. Rugby is much more fun to watch than football, mostly because its no big deal getting clothes lined or thrown 10 feet in the air. They just get up and keep running.

We bought the family passes to get into the game... don't we look like sisters? Its cause we are.

Ryan won a free sticker. Booya.

We also watched 3 movies this weekend. Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Kung Foo Panda, and Valkyrie.
It was an awesome weekend.

Athletic Training at its Finest

Tonight i attended the Utah Valley Thunder arena football game. It was like regular football on steroids. It was sweet! Its like playing football in an indoor soccer field cause there is no out of bounds and they slam each other into the wall like it was hockey. I hung out down on the field with the visiting team from Wyoming. Just before half time this big black guy from Texas, Everage, walks up to me and says, "My chin kinda hurts." There was blood dripping down his jersey leaving a trail on the ground wherever he walked. Due to the loss of blood i had him sit down. I whipped on my gloves and dabbed the cut on his chin a few times with gauze. In my head I'm thinking something not right. I lean over to the other athletic trainer there and say, "Ummm...this is huge." He runs to get the team ER doctor on site. She says she can stitch him right up no problem. We take him to the athletic training room, she shoot his chin up with some anaesthetic's and opens it to clean it.... annnnnd we see bone. Now I'm no chin specialist but I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen. Luckily she has the hookups and we sent him in right away for more extensive care than a few stitches. Thanks for a fun night Everage and sorry about your chin.

He was cool enough to let us snap a pic on the phone.

What to put here...

Quick review (as i am putting off homework right now)...
  • Super nice weather. A couple of days were in the 70's and Tristan went golfing twice. I wore shorts and tanned while watching some Timpanogos baseball games.
  • Pat, Amy and Natalie (old time friends) flew into town. We got together for dinner (with the Packard's too) and the boys went golfing. pat & amy: i was telling tris that we should have brought back a few board games just for competitions sake. HAHA! "If that how you want to win..." (Amy)
  • Thursday was a big WIN for Real BYU!! GO TEAM! First win of the season and now we move onto round 2 of the tournament. Our next game is this Saturday. Tristan scored 2 goals. Go Honey!
  • I ordered my cap and gown and graduation announcements this week. YES! I have 3 weeks of class left and I'm free.
  • I diagnosed a torn meniscus for one of our soccer boys last week. He went to the doctors the next day and had it scoped right away. My first one, i was very proud.
  • I gave out 5 red cards for intramurals on Saturday for attempting illegal participation. (I'm obviously not as stupid as i look)
  • Tristan's family is coming into town in 2 weeks for general conference and my family is coming the week after for graduation.
  • Brady has 9 months till he's home eating my food, blowing in my ear, and tackling Tristan.
  • We are currently looking for a new place to move... we have been in a few places but nothing worth packing all my crap for yet.
  • Monday night I'm going to cover Utah Valley Thunder's game. They are a semi-pro arena football team and the clinic I'm going to work for invited me to use my athletic training skills.
  • Tristan got a job as a T.A. for an information systems class next school year. He's very excited about that. Good job babe.
  • Jeremy and Laura came over today and cooked us a delicious Sunday dinner and then we had chocolate covered strawberries for desert. Thanks guys.

Hott Date

This weekend Tristan and I had a hott date with each other. Saturday, our day we began when we went to breakfast at IHOP with Tristan's aunt Cathie and his cousin Scott. We both had the stuffed french toast and lots of hash browns, it was yummy!

After breakfast we had an intramural soccer game. We might have lost 2-11... all in a days work...but lets just say we focus on having fun. Tournament starts next week so hopefully we start doing a little better. :)
Saturday night we went to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant here in Provo, Joe Veras, and had the usual: sizzling steak fajitas and cheese enchiladas. After dinner we attended BYU's theatre ballet in concert. They preformed West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet.

We had never seen anything like it and it was a pretty interesting experience. I liked Romeo and Juliet the best. It was a good date! Thanks Tris.

Some other updates:
Recently Tristan was sick for an entire week and he conned me into making him a pie, he said it would make him "feel better". Hummm...
Just because he was sick i wanted to be a little more creative. Ta Da!

You can read it as "Tristan Perdue" or "Tristan's Pie". Tris preferred the later.
Jessica and I had a girls night and we had Cafe Rio to go and played some Wii Fit. It was VERY entertaining. This is us doing the yoga tree pose. I think we need more practice.

68 Degrees

Today was a beautiful day in Provo, UT. It was 68 degrees!! I was so excited i wore shorts to school! I feel the cabin fever coming on... I'm ready to be outside all day again. Today I lifted weights and then went for a run. It was amazing. At the high school the spring sports started on Monday with baseball, softball, men's soccer, track and tennis tryouts. Just the 2 of us were running around checking up on everyone. It was pretty crazy and a nice change from winter (the only sport was basketball) because now we can pick the most entertaining sport to watch and we are outside which means all practice and games end at sundown because we don't have lights. Can't wait to start working on the tan....orrr watch intently incase someone gets hurt.
