29 week bump

Debut of the 29 week belly...
 ...hey there bellybutton ...
Baby boy moves all day long. He's getting good at the double punch, kicking at opposite ends at the same time. That's talent.
11 more weeks. Time is flying.

happy house

Nothing terribly blog worthy going on in the Perdue household. We sure are happy though. Growing up my Dad would always ask me, "Brittany, where do you live?" The correct answer to his question is, "Happy house!" I'm passing that on. We push the BOB around the house every few days, rather anxious to use it. We tried out the car seat in my car. My Jetta is so small the car seat won't fit on the driver side unless I want my knees in the steering wheel. Passenger side it is.
Tristan's school and work schedule are very. very laid back. Let him soak it in now before he starts work for the rest of his life. We are expecting to hear his official KPMG start date by the end of this week.
The clinic has been very busy. I like the movement though. And will miss it. Remember Dr. McLane? She flew back to Utah today! Her first day back in clinic will be this Thursday. She has been gone longer than expected and we are all very happy to have her back.
My new bedtime routine involves a few stretches and my foam roll. My favorites are the butterfly, seated hamstring, and piriformis stretches. They help keep my SI right where I want it. Foam roll, you hate it and love it.  If you run, you need one of these. I originally got mine to use on my legs, especially my IT band. Now I use it on my back to roll out the muscles and it cracks my entire spine and feels oh so good.
I am 29 weeks along today. Still no pregnancy complaints other than I had to buy bigger underwear. That's always a little depressing.
Have you heard John Mayer's new single? Shadow Days. It's ah. mazing. It makes me happy about life.

blackberry

My hubby is quite the smarty pants, oh and super cute too. About a month ago Blackberry announced if you develop and submit an app for the Blackberry App World you are eligible to receive a free Blackberry PlayBook tablet. Last semester Tristan developed an app he called "Job Search" in his Android development class to help people in the job search process. He made a few tweaks, converted it to Blackberry, submitted it, and received this email today:

Dear App World Vendor,

Research In Motion is pleased to inform you that your product 'JobSearch' is approved and ready to be provisioned for BlackBerry App World.

Regards,

The BlackBerry App World™ Team

Aww dang hun! He is very excited and I am very proud of him. He continues to surprise me with all his computer skills.  Can't wait to play with our new toy.

the set up

Check out Baby P's new set up, seat, and, whip.
Set up:
Because we will be moving soon after baby arrives we are not buying a crib or setting up a nursery and have been looking for something inexpensive and small to use as an alternate until we get into our new place and can set up a permanent room. Tristan suggested using a Rubbermaid storage tub but luckily my mom's bestie, Carma, offered her mini-crib she's had stored for 20 years. My mom brought it up with her this weekend, Tristan bought new hardware, I gave it a nice cleaning, and and we had it set up in no time. It's small and has wheels making it easy to move it from room to room wherever baby wants to sleep. Its perfect.
My mom and I made a trip to Babies R Us to pick up a new mattress pad, waterproof mattress cover, and crib sheets.
When I walk by it makes me happy to see it sitting in the second bedroom.
 Seat:
After much research we went with the Graco Snugride 30 in black. Big enough, small enough, and very safe. It arrived in the mail on Valentines day and played with it all night. Can the thing have any more warning labels on it?!
Whip:
Let me formally introduce you to BOB. He came in the mail on Friday. He is our main stroller that happens to be a sweet jogging stroller equipped with "adjustable suspension" and "superior maneuverability". It's a dream.
We also got a couple extra accessories. A car seat adapter.
 And a handlebar console.
Now I just need to find a baby to borrow so I can try it out.

I feel great about having the big things taken care of. Thank goodness for my Sprout iphone app, providing check lists, reminding me of all the other million and one and things we need to get.

family time

Grammy Pammy (my mom) (how adorable is her new nickname?!) and Makenzie are in town!! They came to visit for the long weekend. Highlights of the weekend so far: hanging out all day Friday and Saturday because we didn't have school or work, Malt Shoppe, BYU bookstore, shopping, baby talk, lots of good food, hiking, going to the movies, and fabric shopping.
Look how happy my mom is!
Makenzie chowing with guacamole in her hair.
 Fry sauce!
 Breakfast at Magleby's Fresh. Delish!
Tristan's second plate of french toast.
Snow hike up Provo Canyon.
 Beautiful day in the mountains.
 Snow angel.
 Tucker family.
Mom and Makenzie were able to feel baby P kick for the first time yesterday.
I am so glad the weekend is not over yet!

valentine

I asked Tristan a few days before February 14th if he wanted to be my Valentine, he said he would have to think about it. The 13th I came home from work to a beautiful bouquet of flowers and him accepting my Valentine invitation.
The 14th we stayed in and had dinner by candlelight with sparking cider and chocolate covered strawberries. Tonight we dressed up and went out to dinner to celebrate our love (once the crowds died down).
For the record...I love my Valentine.
Note: February 16th 2007 Tristan proposed. It's already been 5 years.

26 week bump

26 weeks into this and the belly has officially popped out. I feel like a pregnant lady now. I had another doctors appointment today with Dr. Holmes.
This cutie came along...
Everything is going well and progressing normally. Dr. Holmes game me a script to get my Rhogam shot completed at 28 weeks. I've heard it goes in the booty...ouch. Along with some other orange goodness I have to drink before my next appointment at 30 weeks. Gag.
Modeling the belly and new stretchy skirt.

Yes...that is my belly button sticking through my shirt.
We talked about names tonight for the first time. A list went up on the fridge. Tristan already crossed out four of my suggestions. Lets just say things are not going well so far.

dinner date

Friday night our friends Kent and Megan took Tristan and I out to a new restaurant. Buffalo Wild Wings. Well, its not new, but new to us. It was a blast. Nothing like having to yell across the table to talk and gettin' your fingers dirty. Tristan and Kent are in the masters program together and Megan and I have become fast friends from watching the boys play intramural game after intramural game over the last 2 years. The 45 minute wait to be seated allowed us to wander next door to Costco to get our fill of free appetizers. We sampled chips, cheese, steak, pulled pork, hotdogs, and wings. It was a Costco sample party.
 The damage...
The wings came in every flavor possible and boy were they spicy delicious. I've never seen Tristan eat so much celery.

a saturday together

Saturday morning we laid in bed snuggling. Tristan felt little Mr. kick for the first time. He's had bad timing thus far. Baby can be kicking up a storm and the second Tris puts his hand on my belly baby stops moving. We went out shopping for our super bowl snacks and other necessities, first stop Costco. We spotted clothing sets made by Carters and decided it was such a good deal he needed two. They came with a long sleeve pj, pants, onesie, and hat or bib. One is safari animals that says, "Just like Daddy"...
...and the other is whales that says, "Little Squirt".
Next stop, Babies R Us. Yes we did park in the expectant mothers parking! First time and loved it. We checked out the cribs and tried out the car seats.
Next stop, Old Navy. I've been on the search for skirts with a stretchy waistband. After looking all over I actually lucked out at Old Navy with two. And little Mr. lucked out with more additions to his wardrobe.
Date to remember: Saturday, February 4, 2012, Tristan felt baby kick for the first time.
