Church Changes

No, we are not changing churches... but today our ward boundaries changed. We had a meeting with the entire stake after church today (cause we are the last ward to meet in the building) to hear about the new changes. Our stake is a BYU stake that includes married BYU students in all of Orem and Provo. The area our BYU stake covers is an area that includes 30 stakes and over 100 family wards. Pretty crazy. There were more and more BYU married students moving into the area that they found a need to add two new wards and shift the ward boundaries of our stake. Our ward boundaries shifted only 4 blocks, but that included us. So we are moving wards from the BYU 62nd ward to the BYU 174th ward. Yes, i cried, right there in the chapel. We have been in our ward for 10 months and I feel i am finally getting settled and making really good friends now to have to start all over as the new person. Gezz man. The closing song was "I'll go where you want me to go"... fine! Tristan is very happy because we are switching meeting times from 2:30-5:30 to 10:30-1:30. And today's Sunday school lesson was about "how we deal with trials". I guess i was getting prepared for this to come. Hopefully this trial will only make me stronger and better at meeting new people and making new friends. Sucks, but I'm sure i'll survive.  Hello BYU 174th ward! Here come the Perdue's!

Spring Time! Wohoo!

Utah often has a difficult time expressing spring time qualities this time of the year. San Diego has been in the 80's a few days in last week so I'm getting jealous and ready for spring to come to me. Luckily, we've had a couple of beautiful days lately that has lifted my spirits and got me kicked into a warm weather mindset. Tristan and I have opened the windows a few times and we've ditched the pants. Tristan has worn shorts and flip-flops to school already. Today we went out on the grass and thew the football in the nice weather. My plants were also able to get fresh air for the first time.  They enjoyed the sun.

Thank goodness for the feeling of the warm sun on my skin. Come faster summer!

The Whole Family

The Tucker clan came to visit this last weekend and everyone can attest that it was hecka fun and full of food! I just love it when family comes into town! Kelsey had a soccer tournament in Las Vegas so they drove up after her last game on Saturday. Sunday we went to my Grandparents house ate a lot. of. food and just hung out...

 

 

Sunday night we drove back to Provo for a sleep over at the Perdue's. Two on the air mattress and two on the couch. It was a full house. Monday morning started with orange rolls (yum!).

 

Kelsey went to class with Brady. After class we met up at the bookstore and did some shopping. After the bookstore we went to Cafe Rio (yum!). Then we did some more shopping at the mall and at Deseret Book. Then we went back to campus to see the sights. I showed Kelsey were all the cute boys studied in the library, and Dad showed us where he first saw my Mom in the SWKT. How cute.

After campus we made a trip to Costco, who doesnt love costco? We bought new life jackets for the Lake Powell 2010 trip.

Every trip to Utah my mom needs to fulfill her fry sauce craving so we went to Burger Supreme for dinner (yum!).  Like i said a lot. of. food. Then we hung out, digested, before Kelsey came and played in my indoor soccer game with me. It was sweet! 

Tuesday started with breakfast casserole (yum!). And then it was time to hit the road. It was a fun filled two days where our whole family was together. Cant wait for the next family vacation.

I went night boarding again with fellow MTC gym staff members last Friday night and it was a blast! Nice weather, horrible snow, but the company was awesome.  I love the people i work with.

Phone

I came home from work today to a little present waiting for me. Ooooo... what is it?

My sweet husband knew i really needed this after i asked him to drive my phone charger to my work because my phone was dying.

I hate being phone-less. I'm still not sure how people survived without cellular telephones. Now i can just plug my phone in in my car. What a life we live.

Girls Day

My BFF, Brit J, came into town last weekend from the Bay area for some good girl time. Saturday we went to the tennis match, the rugby game, and to Olive Garden for Chelsea's birthday. Since 4 out of the 5 of us graduated from the AT program we were not short of athletic training jokes and stores the entire day (they're my favorite).

That night we attended the opening social for the Salt Lake roller derby teams which Kat is a member of the Death Dealers. The party was themed "Hero's" so we dressed as ninja turtles, naturally. (This was perfect cause i already had a ninja turtle costume.) We had fun dancing the night away as turtles.

El Futbol

Crystal, my friend who cuts my hair, invited me to be on her coed indoor soccer team. Guess what I said...heck ya!! Every indoor season lasts about 8 weeks and we just had our last game of the season on Monday. Our team is pretty awesome and we did well. I have never played indoor soccer before and it was blast. It's a very different game than outdoor 11 on 11 because you sprint everywhere, play the ball (and the opposing team) off the wall and play defense and offense at the same time.
These are the girls on my team: Crystal, Lindy, yours truly, and Megan. We're cool.

We all signed up to play the next indoor season together, which will be a blast! The first game of the new season is on Monday. Its been such a fun form of entertainment and release of energy (besides playing four square with the Elders). Soccer rocks!
