Summer Exercise
Another week has gone by and finally the weather has changed for the good. The sun is out and the the farmer tans are coming out in Utah and and hitting full force. Today I officiated/supervised men's softball and Tristan worked coed soccer so we were both outside all morning and came home with some beautiful tan lines...
...or not...
...Tristan's tan lines are way more impressive but im ok with that :) When i told my parents the sad news my Dad said it will help me fit in better with the people of Utah and my Mom said i better get rid of them before i come home so i don't embarrass her. I just love them. After work we relaxed and stayed out of the sun until Pat (our neighbor) called and invited us and the Packard's to hike the Y. We agreed but decided to wear flip flops in hopes of getting rid of our tan lines. Pshhh... it didn't work at all. Our hike was super fun. We all broke a sweat (except Natalie of course)
and conquered the 9 switchbacks to made it to the Y just in time so watch the sunset. It was beautiful!
We made it up, taking a few breaks of course, and hung out until the sunset and then made our way back down the mountain. Here is Tristan and Natalie playing on the Y...
Tris and i sitting on the Y...
as well as us with Utah Vally behind us...
We had a great day in the sun soaking up Vitamin D and working on our Utah tans! Now i REALLY can't wait to go home and lay on the beach!

Family Picture
Week in Review
Finally it's Friday, and the first thing i did when i got home from work today was take a 3 hour nap. My apartment is a mess but i got my priorities straight, naps come first. Tristan went golfing after work with a few of his buddies while i was napping and after we went out for a romantic Friday night dinner to Burger Supreme. It was delicious. No plans so far for the long weekend but having no work is good enough. Its been raining the last 3 days with rain still in the forecast so tanning all weekend is out of the question. Bummer.
Favorite Story of the Month:
With gas prices soaring Tristan decided he wanted to buy a bike so he can ride to school in the morning and to Intramurals for work in the evening. So we went to a few different bike shops around town and finally found a sweet ride at Walmart (of all places). It has a beach cruiser look to it so its totally rockin' for summer time. As we were bringing it to the front of the store he says, "I think i want to ride it home". I ask, "Are you serious?" My Though: Umm, do you know how far that actually is? Walmart, located in North Weat Orem. Our house, located in the South East part of Provo at the very east end of Center St. Will he make it home? It he capable of such physical activity? Should i slowly follow behind him in my car? He confirms he's being dead serious and i say, "Ok honey, see you at home." I gave him a little head start and honked as i drove by as he was heading uphill on University Parkway. I was laughing pretty hard. On my way home i stopped by Barnes and Noble, bought a book and then stopped by Discount Tire to get my spare tire fixed and i still beat him home. It took him about an hour but he loved it. His butt was a little sore the next day but i took care of that. He's so adorable! Here's Tristan and his new wheels...

Heading South

So Tris and I have been planning on going home for a week after his spring term is over in June and we are so excited. On Sunday we were sitting on the couch talking about how we cant wait to finally go home (we haven't been home since Christmas which makes it the longest i have ever been away from home :( so sad, i know). We were also wining about the ridiculous gas prices and such and then it hit us that flying might actually be cheaper than driving. And yes it is, so we booked our first flight together with Jet Blue for June 13th and now we are even more excited!! We'll get there in record time... no more of this 10 hour business. When we are down there we are going on a sailing trip to Catalina Island. Tristan's dad is way into sailing so we are going to rent a huge sailing boat and make our way across the open waters. I'm going to have to find a cute sailing hat or outfit of some sort to make the whole experience complete. In any case we are so excited to see our families!
Summer is FINALY here

Its seems as though Provo has finally broken out of its winter spell this week with 90 degree weather melting the snow off the mountains. With the warm weather brings Tristan's favorite past time... golf. A few weeks ago he golfed 5 out of the 7 days of the week...pretty impressive but at the same time I'm worried for his wellbeing. If you don't know, my Dad is a devoted golfer and when i told my mom about Tristan's frequent golfing excursions she said, "Send him to therapy! Save him before its too late!" Im worried its already too late. It doesn't help that our neighbors, Jared and Pat, encourage this behavior as they too are golfers and the three of them have become quite competitive... even when we went minature golfing for our date night last weekend.
Oh, gotta go, Tristan just called and we are off to lunch.
