Pumpkin Carving
We kicked off Halloween week with pumpkin carving last night. Jacob and Brittany and Jeremy and Laura come over to eat some beans and carve some pumpkins (the two go together, naturally).

Fall Wreath
My latest attempt at crafting was to make a "fall leaves" wreath. I started with a foam circle, a hot glue gun and a garland of cute leaves.

Snip the leaves off then glue to the foam circle. Ta Da! It defiantly took more thought than I anticipated... but in the end my front door is happier and a lot cuter! Now I'm officially ready for fall.

Homecoming Weekend
This weekend was totally awesome! My parents flew in on Thursday to spend the weekend with us. Friday I went shopping with my Mom and Grandma while my dad golfed and Tristan took a test. We hit all the important places: Tai Pan, Iron Works, Ann Taylor Loft, only the cutest. Friday night Tristan and I went with my Mom and Dad to the football fireside where we heard two players, Bronco Mendenhall and his wife and Lavell Edwards speak on discipleship. The football team also sang a song which was cool. After the fireside we went to 2 different reunions that my Dad was invited to. After the reunions we hit up the Malt Shoppe at midnight (which is the best way to do it) for fry sauce and malts.

Saturday morning Tristan had an intramural soccer game. Mom and I went to watch and cheer on the stud who scored THREE goals. Yea honey!

After Tristan's game we relaxed before we met up with Aaron (my cousin) and Grandma and Grandpa Jensen. We then all headed over to the game early to enjoy a football alumni lunch.
Mom and I in our matching shirts.

It rained pretty good before the game but luckily not during the game. I came prepared anyway with my many blankets and jackets.

After lunch we were invited to go onto the field before the game and make the tunnel for football players when they run onto the field. It was pretty awesome being down there, brought me back to my athletic training football days, minus carrying water bottles.

After the game we went to Mimi's to warm up with some hot soup. It was a great weekend with family that went by too fast. Now we can't wait for Thanksgiving to come.

Tucker Visitors
My parents are flying in today for the weekend! Yippee!

(Aren't they cute!?)
Its BYU's Homecoming weekend with a big game against TCU on Saturday... not to mention ESPN Game Day is coming! Go Cougs! The weekend will most likely consist of family, shopping, golfing, football, reunions, and good food. I'm taking off work on Friday to play with my Mom and Grandma all day. I cant wait. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Fall Colors
Another amazing thing about Utah is the fall color change. The way the leaves change colors and how it seems to happen overnight, suddenly everything is so colorful. While at work today i took a few pictures of the surrounding beauty. Enjoy.
Beautiful Yellows

Gorgeous Oranges

Stunning Reds

Combine them all together...

Then add the temple. Beautiful Provo, Utah.

Step Two: White Chocolate application.

Step Three: Preparation and application of apple toppings.
Graham crackers and cinnamon and sugar

Reese's Candy

Step Four: Admire...

Pumpkin Patch
This week i completed my second craft, a pumpkin patch. Becca came over to join the pumpkin patch fun and helped make the craft even cuter. We had lots of fun and laughed about the last time we painted something or used stencils.

I made some pumpkins out of burlap fabric, used sticks as stems, and added detail using hemp string.

My pumpkin patch... i love it!

Homemade Bread
For conference weekend Tristan, yes Tristan, made the most delicious homemade bread. Yeast, flour, the works. Its Kelly Perdue's famously wonderful bread recipe. We made toast out of it for Sunday breakfast and it was heaven in your mouth. I'm already convincing Tris to make it again, i dare not try.

My mouth is watering right now.

Hobby Lobby
What an adventure! I have heard a few crafty people (including my Grandma Jensen) rant and rave about Hobby Lobby. So i called up Becca and Brittany for a girls outing. As Brittany Barney put it, "Its a glorified Michael's!" And indeed it was. After an hour and half of being there we hadn't even gone through half the store. And it's smart to go there with a budget... i did not. Oops.
I got a few things for my next 2 crafts. These materials are the beginnings of my fall leaves wreath.

Brittany and Becca looking to fill up their shopping carts.

Thanks for coming with me ladies!
