Carlsbad, CA

I've had a trip planned with my grandparents to go home for Kelsey's high school graduation for over a month now. Tristan can't come because he doesn't want to miss work and Brady has to take a couple finals so he was driving down the next day. Wednesday morning I begin the drive home with my grandparents and Tristan goes to work. We arrived Wednesday evening after an uneventful drive. Kelsey and I went for a run, ate dinner and went to bed. The next morning I walk downstairs at 7:30am to see Brady and Tristan standing in the kitchen. WHAT!? My husband thinks he's so tricky. He caught a ride with Brady leaving Provo at 5:00pm and arrived in Carlsbad at 2:00am. It didn't even cross my mind that Tristan would come down with Brady. Come to find out that for the past week Brady and Tristan had been telling lie after lie to me and my parents. Tristan calling to say goodnight when he is actually in Vegas. Ha. It was a nice surprise that Tristan decided to show up. Carlsbad is always better with him there. So...we enjoyed a few days together in paradise.
Thursday: Ran. We went to see our younger siblings graduate from Carlsbad High. Congrats Kelsey and Grant! Kelsey is coming here to BYU and Grant is going to BYU-I. After graduation we BBQ'ed with the fam and enjoyed s'mores.
Friday: Ran. Tris and I went to the beach together. I worked on my tan while watching Tris body surf the waves. Friday night we went to our favorite restaurant, El Torrito, with the Tucker and Perdue families. Delicious Mexican food.
Saturday: I went for my long run of the week. This week i ran 9 along the coast with 2 of my good friends from my high school cross country team. It was great catching up and remember good times. After our run we soaked our legs in the ocean. My absolute favorite thing to do after a run. I cant wait to move back to the coast so i can do that every day. Tris helped his Dad and my Dad around the house and yard. I went shopping at the Carlsbad outlets and scored sweet deals at Gap. More Mexican food. Then we went to the beach with my family.
My favorite activity at the beach: paddle ball with mom.
Thank goodness for vacations. Thank you family for having us. Thank you grandma and grandpa for driving with us. Congratulations Kelsey and Grant. Tristan, i love you, you trickster.

SL Bees

Last week we hit up a Salt Lake Bees minor league baseball game with Brit and Spencer. I got hooked up with skybox tickets and VIP parking from my coworker so it was all free. That's the best kind of activity. Free.
Go Bees!
