disney day

Today, the entire Tucker family mobbed Disneyland. I cannot remember the last time all our members went together, so this was a very special event. Mom was super happy. With our park hopper passes, we mostly did Disneyland but at the end of the day we hit up California Adventure for a bit. Yes, it was crowded but the lines moved quickly and we were able to get in all our favorites.
mom and dad, so happy.

christmas day

December 25th started at 5:30AM. Yikes. We opened presents at the Perdue house at 6:00, thanks to Shannon. It was crazy awesome.
The boys all got Lego sets they assembled into transformer type figures and fought each other all morning.
Mike with his beach fire pit from all of us kids.
Then we went over the Tuckers to eat breakfast and open presents. We made our traditional Danish pancakes, aebleskivers. Delish!
We each found ipod's, water bottles, headphones and candy in our stockings.
My Dad got coal in his stocking, and ate it.
Jake got a toy fox.
Tris gave me pearl earrings and a Singer sewing machine. Let the sew crafting begin!!
I gave Tris a Jawbone headset and a Nixon watch. So business stylish.
Hope you had a very Merry Christmas! We sure did.

home for the holidays

Tris and I are home for the holidays! We came down last weekend and were immediately busy with family parties. Saturday was Tristan's mom's family Christmas party in Mission Viejo and Sunday was Tristan's dad's family party in Carlsbad.
Sunday night we went to see the beautiful San Diego temple and its grounds decorated for Christmas.
 Tucker Children
Monday we spent shopping and putting the finishing touches on Christmas presents.
Today Tristan is going down to La Jolla to meet the partner of the SD KPMG office, very exciting.
It literally hasn't stopped raining since we've arrived. At least its not snow.

baby practice

Tristan and I babysat little Olivia J for a night while her parents partied. We had an insy taste to parenthood but it was an adorable taste.
In 3 hours we experienced:
-precious smiles
-lots of wobbly head movements
-wiggly arms and legs
-bouts of crying
-warming and feeding her a bottle
-spitup on Tristan's shirts
- cute baby toots
-a poopy diaper
It was excellent practice. I just know Tristan will be the best daddy.
Parenthood will be awesome but in the meantime, I'm loving a full night of undisturbed sleep. Thank you for the pleasure of your sweet presence, Olivia J, we simply love you to death.

we are who we are

I finished up my birthday celebrations with a night out with my girls. Kelli and Megan, coworkers at the MTC and fellow athletic training colleagues took me out to dinner followed by dancing. i. love. dancing.
Dinner was delicious yet embarrassing as I was instructed to wear a necklace and sash saying "Birthday Babe" the entire night. We danced, sang karaoke, and ordered waters. It was a night to remember. Thank goodness for girlfriends.

my birthday

Number 24 came and went. I went to work all day and was surprised at the end of the day when I walked out to my car to see this.
My car actually made that days MTC security report. Went something like this, "A VW car was found in the 18A parking lot with balloons and other such items attached to and covering the car. Will follow up if there are additional complaints." My girlfriends Kelli and Megan took the liberty of stealing my car keys, filling the entire car with balloon and then decorating the outside of it. It was an awesome surprise.
After work Tristan, Brady and Kelsey joined me for dinner at my favorite dinner destination, Cafe Rio. Duh.
After dinner I opened presents and LOVED everything I got.
Tristan made me my favorite cake, rainbow chip. Delicious. My birthday night concluded with Kelsey and I at Forever 21 picking out my outfit for Saturdays girls night out.
Thank you to everyone who made this birthday very memorable. I love you all so much.

thanksgiving '10

Tristan and I packed the car Sunday morning and drove to Carlsbad for Thanksgiving week. It was a great week full of lots of activities but no pictures to document the happenings. I have become horrible at operating a camera regularly.
Monday: Ran on the beach. Helped my Dad do the Thanksgiving grocery shopping. Celebrated Jeremy's birthday. Monday night football party with my Dad.
Tuesday: We had an appointment with our dentist, Tristans uncle. I love clean teeth. Hung with my bestie, Kristi. It makes me so happy that Trey was calling me Auntie Brit and wanted to give me a hug when I left. Adorable. Went to Irvine to hang with Shawn and meet his new woman. Oo la la.
Wednesday: Ran on the beach. Shopping, shopping, shopping with the Tuckers.
Thursday: Visited the recruits at Camp Pendleton. Ran on the beach. Tuckers beat the Perdues in the 3rd annual Turkey cup. Food, food, food. Pumpkin pie. HARRY POTTER with the Tuckers and Perdues!
Tristan chatting with the recruits.
Grandma and Grandpa played goalie for Team Tucker.
The dads chatting, with the dogs.
Getting ready to play on a beautiful Thanksgiving afternoon.
Friday: Shopping, shopping, shopping with Mom, Grandma, and Makenzie. Gave Jake a bath. Perdue family party in Mission Viejo. Decorated the Tucker Christmas tree.
Brady and Tristan tag teaming Jake
Saturday: Watched BYU get unfairly beaten by the red team. Took Perdue family photos at the beach. Went to San Diego to watch Forever Plaid in their Christmas show, Plaid Tidings with the Perdue family. Took Tucker Christmas card photo.
Sunday: Spent an extra 4 hours in the car traveling through snow storms and traffic to get back to Provo.
I love running in Carlsbad. It makes me so happy. Also, I ate so much pumpkin pie, it was wonderful. We drove by where Tristan will be working this summer and brainstormed and daydreamed about cities in SD county we would potentially like to move to summer of 2012. We had an amazing week in mid 60's degree weather among lots of family and good food. I love the holidays.

byu football

Oh how I love my cougars. The second to last home game we had rockin seats. We were 4th row up right next to the tunnel where the players run out.
We hung with Cosmo and gave the players high fives whenever they passed us. It was a good game where we came out with a "W". After the game we went to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa, as is tradition. Guess who showed up at Brick Oven!? Cosmo!
The Saturday before Thanksgiving my Mom and sister, Makenzie, flew up to hang for the weekend and cheer on BYU with us for their last home game of the season.
Because it was a night game and the end of November it was the coldest game of the season. We all got hot chocolate thanks to Kelseys meal card.
I love family. And I love BYU.
