With all the running I've been doing I'm discovering new places around our house. I found a huge park just south of us with a pond, pool, fountain, flower beds, swings and tons of grass. So tonight we had sports night in the park with the Nothum's. We threw the football around and passed the soccer ball. Good clean fun. Its the best kind.

Back to Crafting
Its been a really long time since I have crafted so it was great to be back at it yesterday with my best friend Alyse. Alyse and I met at EFY many years ago, she flew out for my wedding and now we live just down the street from each other. We decided to make a sign to hang on the wall. We went to Roberts, purchased the wood painted and ready. We then cut out letters with the cricut, traced them on the wood, and painted them in.
Proud painting-in-the-lineist.
I found a perfect place for it right above my kitchen sink.
It was fast, easy and great to catch up with an old friend.

Marathon Weekend
It was a Nothum weekend. Friday we hit up my favorite, Cafe Rio and then went to the BYU men's soccer game. Our neighbor plays on the team so we secretly cheered him on. He also happened to score BYU's only goal. GO COUGS!
Saturday started off with completing priority number one: sleeping in. Second: running, which was cut short when it was 95 degrees outside. I was so overheated and exhausted Tristan picked me up 4 miles short of completing my 11 mile run. Next time ill start earlier. Third: J Dawgs with the Nothums. That deserves a longer yum. Yuuuuuuuum. Fourth: Catching some rays at the small lake in Mona. There was a rope swing but none of us partook. We swam and worked on the tans.
Fifth: PF Changs. Also a long yum. We were celebrating Brittany's new job at an Ear, Nose and Throat clinic. Its very exciting news. We ordered appetizers (lettuce wraps and crab wontons) and enjoyed delicious food.
Sixth: Shopping around the mall.
Seventh: Cold stone. Eighth: Hot tub and swimming pool. We went to a single student complex in Provo. Somehow the word "husband" slipped and we were outted. It was fun while it lasted. :) Thanks Nothum's for a fun weekend.
Family Week
Last week my family was in town. Saturday we had our Jensen family reunion.
My Grandma and Grandpa Jensen in their element.
It was a blast with all the cousins together. When we were little our parents made us all line up to take a picture, nothing has changed.
"We have to take a picture with you!?"
Pretending we like each other.
After going to school here and living here my Mom had never hiked the Y, so we checked that off her list.
We also shopped, shopped, shopped. You can't NOT go to the Nordstrom anniversary sale.
I love my little family.

Tuckers in Town
My family is in town! Yesterday we had the first annual Jensen family reunion. The reunion included all the descendants of my Great Grandma and Grandpa Jensen (my Mom's grandparents). Today my Dad and brother drove back to Carlsbad for work but my Mom and two sisters are staying the week. Makenzie will be attending BYU soccer camp this week while the rest of us hang out. Saturday, Kelsey and I went for our long run together. We ran 8 miles in the Provo canyon and it felt great. Marathon training is going very well and it will be a fun to train with Kelsey all week.
The Fourth
Thursday night we decided it would be fun to be home for the 4th of July. We convinced the Nothum's to come with us and Friday we drove to Carlsbad after work and arrived home after midnight. Saturday morning we went out to breakfast on Ruby's on the pier then went to the beach all afternoon.
After the beach we BBQ'ed with the Tucker's and Perdue's and then all went to the beach for a bonfire and smores.
Sunday, the fourth, we watched fireworks at Legoland. We walked the mile with blankets and chairs and had the best seats I've ever had for a fireworks show. We were literally right under the show as we sat on the edge of the blasting zone.
Monday, we went to to beach in the morning for a Perdue family reunion. Spencer got a surf lesson.
After lunch we began the drive back to Utah. The trip was a blast. Thank you Nothum's for coming!
Happy July 4th!

Busy Days
I feel like i have been so busy lately. Two posts in June is shameful. Sorry June. We went to Carlsbad for the holiday weekend and I have badly been needing a nap since we got home late Monday night but things keeps popping up. Grocery shopping, work, major house cleaning and organizing, running, laundry, etc. I now have pictures to share. But that is for tomorrow, hopefully, in between more cleaning. My family is coming into town this weekend for the Jensen family reunion so that elongates my to-do list, and forces the things-i've-been-meaning-to-do to get done. Unfortunately blog, you are not a top priority, no offense. But i had to show July more love than June.
