Halloween Preview

Halloween eve was a sweet one. Here is the preview i promised of what is to come.
On Monday we carved pumpkins with the Jackson's and Packard's for FHE.

Tristan and I bought pumpkins earlier this month and we were so excited to carve into those suckers.

My pumpkin weighed 25 pounds and Tristan's pumpkin only weighed in at a meager 23 pounds. I win! We had tons of fun trying to get a picture of the whole group.
What is a pumpkin carving without a picture with the lights off. Tristan carved a sweet looking "scary guy". I carved a cute looking scarecrow. We were both proud.
Becca came up with the awesome idea to be the Ninja Turtles. So we set off in search of our costumes... not to spoil the surprise but lets just say it started with a shirt, some fabric, and a sowing kit.

And looks a little something like this.

A promise is a promise... i said you'd pay. Here ya go! Ryan and Becca Jackson everyone.

BoRInG!!

I am so boring and haven't posted in what feels like a million years. BUT... don't worry... this weekend ill have some sweet pictures for the blog. Pumpkin carving and some sweet Halloween costumes are in the near future.
I have a break from the high school for 2 weeks. Our football team was not so amazing so we didn't make it to play offs which ='s time off! YAY. Basketball tryouts will be in November and ill be back at the high school every day.
The semester is half way over. BOOYA! I applied for graduation and tomorrow i will register my classes for winter semester for the LAST time EVER! WOAH! So THIS is what it feels like being a senior in college... deep breath, and i love it.
Tristan is his same old self. He didn't mention anything with BYU and football in the same sentence after the dreaded TCU game. "I DONT want to talk about it."
Today we just got news that Kelly (Tristan's mom) will be visiting us in a couple of weeks. YES! We are so excited! But that just means i have to start my, "oh no my mother in law is coming deep cleaning of the house" now.
Keep checking back for my sweet pictures.

Wool Socks & Hand Warmers

Winter is coming to Provo and we turned on our heater for the first time today. Yesterday it actually snowed a little bit but thankfully it didn't stick. We've pulled out our wool socks (best Costco purchase ever), sweat pants and big jackets. Yesterday we went to the BYU game (GO COUGARS!) and we were armed with thermal underwear, snowboarding gloves, hand and toe warmers, sweatshirts, snowboarding jackets, beanies, many long sleeve shirts and other items.
We are well into the semester and i have already taken 2 functional anatomy exams with 3 to go! Whoop whoop! I only have 2 more football games with Timpanogos high school before basketball season begins. I feel like the football players are my kids (just really big kids).
I'm hoping we'll have time to make a pumpkin patch stop this year so ill update about our yearly pumpkin carving contest. Until then, keep warm!
